We visited Young Giants Brewing Co not long after they opened and, even then, it already felt like one of those places that had genuinely been designed with families in mind.

What stood out to us most was the play space. Instead of being tucked away in a corner, it’s in its own enclosed room connected to the main seating area. You can comfortably sit and enjoy a drink while still being able to keep an eye on your little ones, which makes for a much more relaxing visit.

The owners are parents themselves, and it really shows. The play room is packed with things to keep kids entertained including a cubby house, slide, ball pit, toy kitchen, books, ride on toys, pretend BBQ, lawn mower, fire truck and plenty more. There is even a foosball table for older kids.

The brewery itself is bright, spacious and welcoming, with a mix of table seating and comfortable lounge areas. Whether you’re meeting friends or stopping in for a casual afternoon, there is plenty of room to spread out.

One thing to keep in mind is that it’s located within the Marcoola industrial estate, so the afternoon sun can make it quite warm on hotter days.

If you’re looking for somewhere to catch up with friends without constantly trying to entertain the kids, this is definitely one worth adding to your list.
