Rhymetime is such an interactive session and focuses on connecting with your bub through songs and rhymes. You’ll hear some of the classics as well as new ones, and the library staff often bring out things like scarves and egg shakers to make it even more engaging for little ones.

The space is set up with colourful cushions, toys and books, and staff will usually read a story or two between the rhymes. There’s also free play time afterwards, which gives little ones another chance to explore and parents an opportunity to chat.

We really loved the community side of this one. It can be challenging to meet other parents with babies around the same age, and activities like this give you an easy way to get out of the house and connect with other families.

If you have a super active bub, just be prepared to weave your way around other parents and little ones! Toilets are located just outside the library, and there is parking along and behind the building as well as street parking. The car park is shared with Kawana Community Hall, so it can get busy at peak times.
