My little ones couldnโt get enough when we visited. There are so many different planes and helicopters to explore, with exhibits both inside and outside, making it a great option whether youโre looking for something to do on a rainy day or heading out when the sun is shining.
One of the things that made our visit even better was the volunteers. Free guided tours are offered on many days, and we had Harry show us around when we visited. The amount of knowledge he shared was incredible and made the exhibits so much more interesting for all of us.
There is so much aviation history packed into the museum, but it still felt really accessible with a little one. You can wander through at your own pace, stop at the aircraft that catch their attention and spend as much time exploring as you like.
Queensland Air Museum is a not for profit aviation museum located beside Caloundra Aerodrome, and itโs definitely one to know about if you have a little plane or helicopter lover.
We visited May 2026. While we do our best to keep our listings up to date, information can change. We recommend checking Queensland Air Museumโs website or social media before visiting.
