Playground, coffee AND the beach within a few steps of each other, there’s a lot to love about Power Memorial Park, more commonly known as Mudjimba Beach Park. The coastal themed playground is packed with fun little details, and the location makes this such an easy morning out with little ones.

The playground has such a fun local theme, with play structures inspired by our surf lifesavers and the HMAS Brisbane. My little one thought the whole thing was SO cool, especially the little details like the Surf Shop phone and all the different quirks to discover as they play.

There’s plenty to keep them busy, with climbing and balancing equipment, bridges, swings, a seesaw and a merry go round. We especially love all the little details built into the playground that give the kids more to discover beyond the usual play equipment.

The location is a huge part of what makes this park so handy. There are shaded picnic tables, BBQs, grassy areas and plenty of beautiful trees, plus toilets right beside the playground. Cross the road and you’ve got cafés and places to grab something to eat, or walk a few steps in the other direction and you’re at Mudjimba Beach.

Parking can be a little tricky when it’s busy. There is a small car park between the playground and beach, with street parking available nearby.
