Sometimes an activity with your little one doesn’t need to involve running around or keeping them entertained for hours. Noosa Salt Cave was such a different outing for us, and I loved having somewhere we could simply slow down for an hour.

I took my daughter along with a few toys and a book, made myself a cup of tea and we both just slowed down for a little while.

Julie has created such a peaceful little space at her home in Tewantin, with soft music and comfy chairs where mums can sit with their little ones and enjoy a quieter kind of outing.

I’d definitely recommend getting a few mum friends together, bringing some toys and snacks for the little ones and making it a little catch up. It was lovely having somewhere we could sit and chat while the kids stayed close by.

I wasn’t really sure what to expect before we went, but I left feeling like I’d actually had a moment to switch off, which can be pretty rare when you have little ones with you.
