Everything here feels made for little legs! Nelson Park, more commonly known as The Duck Ponds, is one of our absolute favourites for toddlers, with a fully fenced playground, smaller play equipment and plenty of beautiful shady grass surrounding it.

There are three different sized slides, which we loved when our kids were at different stages, plus swings, sand play and a little boat that is always a hit with our little ones.

Outside the playground thereโ€™s loads of shady grass for a picnic, plus BBQs, tables and toilets conveniently located just outside the fence. You can also follow the pathways around the lake and see what wildlife you can spot along the way, including black swans and Pacific black ducks.

Just keep in mind that while the playground itself is fully fenced, the lake outside the playground is not.

We visited August 2024. While we do our best to keep our listings up to date, information can change. We recommend checking Sunshine Coast Councilโ€™s website before visiting.
