Nambour Aquatic Centre

Hot day and little ones who need to burn some energy? The Splash Park at Nambour Aquatic Centre is such an easy option. I took both kids on my own and found it surprisingly stress free, with plenty to keep them entertained.

The Splash Park was such a good find with little ones. There are water sprays, slides, geysers and waterfalls, with plenty for toddlers to explore without needing to head into the bigger pools.

My oldest loved the slides, while the fountains and water features were perfect for my youngest. There are buttons to press and different water features going constantly, so both kids could explore and play at their own pace.

The majority of the toddler area was fenced when we visited, apart from the entry, which made it much easier when I was there solo with both kids. There is also shade over parts of the area, although I’d still pack hats and sunscreen because it doesn’t cover everything.

There’s a kiosk onsite selling grab and go snacks, ice creams, drinks and coffee, with tables and chairs available nearby. The change rooms also make it easy to get everyone changed before heading home.

Nambour Aquatic Centre also has a 25m indoor heated pool, 50m outdoor heated pool and seasonal Adventure Slides for bigger kids, so there’s plenty more to explore as they get older.

We found later in the afternoon was quieter when we visited, with more kids starting to arrive around 3pm, so heading earlier in the day or around 2pm could be worth trying if you prefer it a little quieter.
