Playgroup is held in the Prep Precinct, with a great mix of indoor and outdoor spaces for little ones to explore.

When we visited, the classroom was filled with activities and educational toys, including painting, crafts, playdough, building blocks, a play kitchen, dress ups, a reading nook and even a dedicated baby area. Outside, there was more painting set up on the deck as well as a grassy area, sandpit and playground.

One of our favourite parts was being able to use the Prep playground, which was a great size for our toddlers. There’s also a beautiful bushland boardwalk tucked away beside the school. It genuinely feels like you’ve stepped away from the school grounds and into nature, with a sitting area that makes a lovely spot to stop for a snack.

Before the session finished, Ange read a couple of stories while the little ones had their snacks, followed by a dance to the goodbye song.

Parents are encouraged to park in the staff car park, which is closest to the Prep Precinct. We found it a little confusing when we first arrived, but the school staff were really friendly and happy to point us in the right direction.

Bookings are currently essential, so make sure you secure your child’s place before attending. There’s no commitment to attend every week, so you can still join when it suits your family.

We visited October 2024. While we do our best to keep our listings up to date, information can change. We recommend checking Meridan State College’s website or social media before visiting.
