Lake Kawana Community Garden

There’s something so special about watching little ones explore a community garden and notice all the tiny details we would usually walk straight past. Ours had such a great time spotting plants and bugs they recognised along the way.

This is such a lovely spot to pack a little picnic and enjoy morning or afternoon tea together. Beyond being a peaceful place to explore, it’s a great opportunity to show little ones where their food comes from, with herbs, fruit and veggies growing right in front of them.

There’s plenty for curious little eyes to discover, and it makes learning about nature and food feel really hands on and fun.

The garden also welcomes volunteers if you’d like to get involved with the local community and help care for the space.
