A beautiful spot in Imbil State Forest where you can swim, explore, picnic and let the kids run around under the trees, plus you can make a stop in Kenilworth part of the adventure.

We visited here regularly as kids for camping trips, so it was really lovely coming back for a day trip with our own family.

The day use area is set amongst the trees with picnic tables, BBQ’s, parking and toilets, plus there’s a beautiful creek for swimming, walking tracks to explore and plenty of wildlife to look out for. My little one brought his trike and loved zooming around while we were there.

There’s plenty here to make a whole day of it, and going through Kenilworth on the way makes it an easy one to turn into a bigger family adventure.

Before visiting, make sure you check the current park alerts, particularly after heavy rain, as creek levels and access to the area can be affected.
