Hosted by The German Bakehouse, this is a free family outing we absolutely love. As a boy mum, I’ve fallen in love with the joy cars bring my son and have become a bit of a fan myself. When we visited regularly, we made it a little monthly tradition.

There are so many cars to see, both old and new, lined up throughout the industrial estate. You can get really close to have a look, and we found the owners were always friendly and happy to chat. Half the fun for little ones is also watching and hearing the cars driving past.

You can also check out the 1960 Thornycroft Airport Fire Tender on display. There is a separate rare car collection from the Sir Henry Royce Foundation nearby, although this has an admission fee if you want to add it to your morning.

The German Bakehouse makes an easy place to start or finish your adventure with a coffee, babycino or something to eat. We loved grabbing one of their pretzels while we were there.

We found the earlier we arrived, the more cars there were, so we would aim to get there early. Parking is along the surrounding streets, so you may have a little walk, and keep in mind that some of the cars can be quite loud if you have a little one who is sensitive to noise.

We visited September 2024. While we do our best to keep our listings up to date, information can change. We recommend checking the business’s website or social media before visiting.
