One of our favourite things about visiting with kids is that there’s always something new to discover. The gallery has changing exhibitions throughout the year, with creative activities designed to help little ones engage with the art rather than simply walk through and look at it.

When we visited, the kids could create their own grass crowns, make a grassland pledge and spend time colouring and creating. The activities change alongside the exhibitions, so what you find when you visit may be completely different from what we experienced.

Make sure you also look out for the Art Trail when you arrive. When we visited, the booklet included little snippets of artwork for the kids to find as they explored the gallery, turning a wander through the exhibition into a bit of a treasure hunt.

The staff and volunteers were also so welcoming with our little ones and made the whole experience feel really family friendly.

With free entry, changing exhibitions and something creative for the kids to get involved in, this is a great one to remember when you’re looking for an indoor activity.

We visited October 2024. While we do our best to keep our listings up to date, information can change. We recommend checking the business’s website or social media before visiting.
