If your little one prefers smaller playgroups or can get a little overwhelmed in big spaces, this is such a lovely one to know about, with plenty of imaginative play and a really welcoming community feel.

This is a relaxed outdoor playgroup with plenty of unstructured and imaginative play for little ones, while also giving parents and carers a chance to connect with other local families.

When we visited, my son absolutely loved the soft play area and spent so much time climbing over the blocks. There was also a road mat with plenty of cars and trucks to play with, plus lots of other activities to move between throughout the morning.

We really liked that it was a smaller playgroup when we visited. The space felt manageable for little ones who might find bigger groups or large spaces a little overwhelming, and there was a bench seat where I could sit while still being able to keep an eye on the play area.

There are toilets and a nappy change table inside the Community Centre, plus onsite and street parking available.

You don’t need to book before attending. When you come along for the first time, you’ll register with the playgroup facilitator and then simply sign in when you attend future sessions.

Make sure you bring morning tea and water for your little one. The playgroup is outdoors and weather dependent, so if it’s raining, call the Community Centre from 9am to check whether the session is going ahead before you leave home.
