When we visited, I had our youngest in the pram while our oldest rode his balance bike, and it was such an easy way to get outside and explore together.

We didn’t make it all the way to the end, but that didn’t matter. The kids loved exploring the track, and having the pram meant we could load it up with all the essentials, plus stash the balance bike when little legs eventually ran out of steam.

The trail is 2km one way, so keep in mind you’ll need to turn around and make your way back if you’re starting and finishing at the same point. The track begins sealed before transitioning to compacted earth, with gentle ups and downs along the way. We were able to push the pram without any issues when we visited, although conditions can change, particularly after wet weather.

There are benches along the way that are perfect for a snack break, plus pieces of the old tramway history to stop and discover as you explore.

It’s a simple outing, but such a good one for getting little ones out amongst nature, especially if you’re looking for somewhere they can walk or ride without needing to tackle a huge distance.

We visited May 2025. While we do our best to keep our listings up to date, information can change. We recommend checking the business’s website or social media before visiting.
