We’ve been coming here for years, and there’s still something so lovely about walking beneath the rainforest canopy with the sound of the creek running alongside you.

There are two different ways to explore the reserve, with entry from Harry’s Lane or Quorn Close. We’ve always entered from the Harry’s Lane side, which takes you onto the elevated wooden boardwalk through the rainforest.

Our little one loves bringing his scooter along this section, mostly because of the sound his wheels make rolling over the wooden boardwalk. We’ve also taken the pram along here without any issues, making this section a great option when you’ve got younger kids with you.

Once the boardwalk ends, you can continue along the rougher trail towards Serenity Bridge and Buderim Falls. This section is a different experience, with rocks, creek crossings and uneven terrain, so we’d leave the pram and little wheels behind if you’re planning to continue through to the falls.

There are picnic grounds, tables and BBQ facilities at both ends of the reserve, so you can pack something to eat and make a little more of your visit. We normally stop around the end of the boardwalk and let the kids cool their feet in the water before making our way back.

If you’re heading into the creek, it’s worth remembering that conditions can change quickly after rain, so we’d always take extra care around the water and slippery rocks.

We visited January 2025. While we do our best to keep our listings up to date, information can change. We recommend checking the business’s website or social media before visiting.
