The backyard play area is what makes this place so popular with families. It’s a relaxed, grassy space shaded by beautiful mature trees, with picnic tables scattered throughout so you can sit close by while the kids play. Since our visit, the backyard has been updated with a new playground and the original wooden cubby house has been removed.
Inside the cafe you’ll also find a small play corner with toys and books, giving younger children another option if the weather isn’t ideal.
One thing we really liked was how welcoming the space felt. It’s not a polished, modern cafe, but that’s part of its charm. It has a relaxed, homely atmosphere that’s easy to settle into for a slow morning with the kids.
If you’re visiting with a pram, it’s worth knowing that the easiest access to the backyard is via the driveway on the left hand side of the cafe. It’s a little steep but much easier than going through the cafe itself.
This is one of those places that feels like a local favourite, and it’s easy to see why families keep coming back.
We visited October 2024. While we do our best to keep our listings up to date, information can change. We recommend checking the business’s website or social media before visiting.
