The community garden is fully fenced, which made it a great space for our little one to wander around and explore all the different plants growing inside.

One of our favourite things was how many of the plants and fruit trees had wooden labels. It made it really easy to walk around together, identify what was growing and talk about the different fruits, vegetables and herbs we could find.

Once you’re finished exploring the garden, Active Park is right next door with a large playground and plenty of open grassy space for the kids to keep playing. There are also picnic facilities, shelters and BBQs throughout the park, so you could easily pack some morning tea or lunch and spend longer here.

When we visited, there was a covered picnic table within the garden itself and plenty of street parking nearby. Just keep in mind that there aren’t toilets at the garden or park, so it’s worth planning ahead if you’re visiting with little ones.

We visited September 2024. While we do our best to keep our listings up to date, information can change. We recommend checking the business’s website or social media before visiting.
