Bean Theory is one of those cosy cafes that’s perfect for catching up with friends, especially on a rainy day when you’re looking for somewhere warm to escape with the kids.

The play area is tucked away at the back of the cafe and was the first thing my little one spotted. It’s colourful, inviting and set up so parents can sit at a nearby table while still keeping an eye on the kids as they play.

There is a great mix of toys and books to keep little ones entertained. Our favourite was the pretend drill and microwave, which got plenty of use during our visit.

The babyccino is also hard to go past. When we visited, it was just 80 cents and came with a little shortbread biscuit, which was a big hit.

If you’re feeling hungry, there is a great range of food available alongside the coffee, making it an easy spot to settle in for a longer catch up.

Whether you’re looking for a quiet coffee, somewhere to escape the rain or a cafe where the kids can happily play while you chat, Bean Theory is definitely worth adding to your list.

We visited 2024. While we do our best to keep our listings up to date, information can change. We recommend checking the business’s website or social media before visiting.
