A lovely local mum told us this park was a must visit, so of course we had to check it out! We started with a walk through the Blackbutt Forest before heading to the playground, and it felt like weโ€™d found a little adventure hidden amongst the houses.

The Blackbutt Forest walk is what makes this one so special. The path is flat and easy for little legs, prams and balance bikes, and once youโ€™re amongst the trees itโ€™s hard to believe youโ€™re in the middle of Baringa. We followed it through the forest before continuing along the boardwalk and then making our way back to the playground.

Thereโ€™s plenty to explore once you get there too, with a toddler play area, huge climbing tower, slides, swings, carousel and double flying fox. Just a heads up, we found the open slides seriously fast, so Iโ€™d keep an eye on younger adventurers.

And one thing I definitely wouldnโ€™t forget, insect spray! The mozzies along the forest walk were out in force when we visited.

We visited June 2026. While we do our best to keep our listings up to date, information can change. We recommend checking Sunshine Coast Councilโ€™s website before visiting.
