I took my 10 month old nephew along to Baby Playgroup at the Play Matters Sunshine Coast Hub, and it was such a beautiful morning for both little ones and parents.
The playgroup is thoughtfully set up for babies, with age appropriate play stations and plenty of space for them to move, explore and experience something new.
When we visited it was a warm day, so everything was set up inside the Meeting House, but they also have a beautiful outdoor space where sessions can be held under the trees when the weather allows. We’ve visited one of the outdoor sessions previously too, and it’s such a lovely setting.
Parents are well looked after as well, with toilets and change tables, off street parking, complimentary tea and coffee, and even a coffee van that comes around for orders.
The session finishes with story and song time, which was such a sweet way to wrap up the morning.
If you’re looking for a gentle way to get out of the house with bub, meet other parents and give your little one somewhere new to explore, this is such a lovely option.
There’s no need to book, and Play Matters membership is also free. The playgroup doesn’t operate during school holidays, so make sure you check their latest session information before visiting.
We visited November 2025. While we do our best to keep our listings up to date, information can change. We recommend checking Play Matters Sunshine Coast Hub’s website or social media before visiting.
