Babes in Arms is held in the Rainforest Room, which is a peaceful, enclosed space that makes the session feel really personal. When we visited, everyone was invited to introduce themselves before the singing started, which created such a welcoming atmosphere.
You’re given a sheet with the rhymes and songs so it’s easy to join in, and at the end of the session the librarian brings out a box of age appropriate toys for the babies to share. Once the singing wraps up, there’s also time to stay and connect with the other parents.
I really enjoyed this one. It gave me the chance to slow down and be completely present with my youngest for a little while. I arranged for my oldest to spend time with my aunt while we attended, and if you’re able to come without older siblings, it’s a really lovely opportunity to have that one on one time with your baby.
There are toilets with change facilities at the library, and Noosa Leisure Centre is right next door if you want to grab a sip or bite afterwards. Parking was busy when we arrived just before 9am, so I would give yourself a little extra time to find a park.
We visited August 2024. While we do our best to keep our listings up to date, information can change. We recommend checking the business’s website or social media before visiting.
