We first visited after one of those days where everything seemed to go wrong. The garage door had broken, the toddler was teething and cranky, and staying home in the chaos wasn’t sounding very appealing, so we headed to the markets instead and honestly, it was the best decision.

There was live music, plenty of food options which meant dinner was sorted, and lots of space for the kids to run around. Our kids loved their balloon creations, and there were drinks available for the adults too.

There were also stalls to wander through with clothing, handmade pieces and little gifts, plus tables and plenty of room to spread out a picnic rug. Having parking and toilets close by made it a really easy outing with little ones.

We left just as trivia was starting and there were lots of families settling in for the evening. It was such a good reminder that sometimes getting everyone out of the house is exactly what you need after a rough day.
