Our Nan and Pop put us onto this hinterland hidden gem, and it was such a good find. Itโ€™s a big park with plenty to explore, and the kids were having so much fun we easily spent a couple of hours here.

Tucked away in Kureelpa on the way up to Mapleton, this is such a beautiful country playground with plenty of space to explore.

Thereโ€™s a swing set, pedal coaster, flying fox, basketball half court, grassy space and a great path for bikes and scooters. Nan and Pop had told us the path was good for wheels, but they definitely undersold it. My son loved zipping around while the smooth path was perfect for my daughter learning to scooter.

We loved being able to watch the cows across the road, hear the kookaburras and stop for a picnic between playing. There were only two other families when we arrived, and by the time we left we had the whole park to ourselves.

The toilets are composting, which is worth giving little ones a heads up about, and the rural fire station next door was an extra win for my emergency vehicle obsessed son.

We visited July 2026. While we do our best to keep our listings up to date, information can change. We recommend checking the Sunshine Coast Council website before visiting.
