A bus that drives straight into the WATER was always going to be a hit with our little ones. We took the whole family aboard Aquaduck and loved that you get a tour through Mooloolaba before splashing into the water for a completely different view of the Coast.

The whole family came along when we visited, and the kids thought it was so much fun. The Aquaduck starts out as a bus, taking you through Mooloolaba and along the beachfront before heading towards the water.

The best part for our little ones was definitely the moment we drove straight into the river. Once you’re on the water, the experience turns into a boat cruise, giving you a completely different view while the guide shares stories and information about the area.

The whole experience takes around one hour, which we found was a really manageable amount of time with little ones. Kids also get the chance to have a turn at steering the Aquaduck during the water portion and receive a Captain’s Certificate afterwards.

The Aquaduck departs from The Wharf Mooloolaba, right near SEA LIFE, so there are plenty of places nearby to grab something to eat or drink before or after your ride. Public toilets are also available at The Wharf because there aren’t any onboard.

Prams can’t be taken onboard, so I’d recommend leaving yours behind if you can. Babies can travel on a parent or carer’s lap, and there are some steps to climb when boarding.
