About Little Sunny Coast

Little Sunny Coast is here to make exploring the Sunshine Coast with little kids easier.

We started Little Sunny Coast because, as first time mums, we were constantly asking the same question: where should we go today? We wanted genuinely useful recommendations from parents who understood what actually matters when you have little kids in tow.

So we started sharing the places we were finding ourselves, and Little Sunny Coast grew from there. Today, families use it to discover playgrounds, activities, places to eat, events and local businesses across the Sunshine Coast.

We share the details parents actually want to know before heading somewhere. Are there toilets? Is it pram friendly? Is there shade? Is it fenced? And importantly, we’ll always tell you whether we’ve personally visited, because your trust means a lot to us.

We’re proud to champion the businesses that make this region so special for families, while making “what should we do today?” a whole lot easier to answer.

The Founders

Hi, we’re Zara and Abi,

Best friends, mums of four little ones between us, and the two behind Little Sunny Coast.

We do the exploring, take the photos, ask all the questions and yes, we really do get excited about a good fenced playground and nearby coffee.
We became friends in 2020 and quickly realised we had a lot more in common than our ten year age gap might suggest. Back then, weekends meant local markets, long coffees and Pilates. A few years later, we’re still exploring the Coast together, just with four little kids in tow and a very different idea of what makes a great day out.
We were lucky enough to have our first babies at the same time, and somewhere between the sleepless nights, endless questions and “is this normal?” messages, our friendship became even closer. Having someone right there, figuring out motherhood alongside you, was pretty special.
These days, life is a little fuller. There are four little kids between us, daycare and Kindy drop offs, endless snacks, mountains of washing and, somewhere amongst it all, a business we absolutely love building together. We still talk every day, only now the conversations jump between motherhood, family life and what’s for dinner, to Little Sunny Coast, big ideas and where we dream of taking it next.

What began as something small has become something we’re incredibly proud to share. We get to spend our days helping families make more of their time together, supporting brilliant Sunshine Coast businesses and building something that we hope our own little ones will grow up being proud of too.

We’re still figuring it all out as we go, usually with kids at our feet and a coffee nearby, but getting to build Little Sunny Coast alongside one of your best friends feels pretty special.
